Microneedling: when it’s worth it (and when to wait)

Microneedling is one of the treatments clients ask about most — especially for acne scarring, uneven texture, and that “dull” look that cleansers alone don’t fix.

It works by creating controlled micro-channels so the skin renews collagen over time. Results are cumulative. One session can freshen; a short series is usually when people notice the change others comment on.

Good candidates

  • Textured or scarred areas that bother you in daylight
  • Stubborn pigmentation alongside texture (we plan carefully)
  • Body or hair concerns where the same principle applies

When we wait

Active infections, open wounds, certain medications, or skin that’s already over-treated need a different plan first. I’d rather delay than push a treatment that sets you back.

Aftercare matters as much as the appointment: gentle cleanse, sun sense, and no picking. I’ll send clear notes after your session.
